Archerfield consulting client a global distilling brand currently has a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader in their Girvan plant.
Purpose
To lead, control and develop the maintenance team to ensure delivery of key results in line with overall site strategy and compliant with all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Maintenance function is compliant with Health & Safety, Environmental Legislation in order to maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies.
Execute the Maintenance engineering strategy in line with the Company, Operations and Business Unit objectives.
Implement best practise processes and procedures maximising effectiveness whilst maintaining a strong interface with Process, Spirit Supply, Technical Support, Compliance and Project Engineering.
Manage and monitor Maintenance budgets in terms of plant reliability, legislative compliance and fixed costs for maximum functional benefit.
Lead the maintenance team ensuring successful implementation of the Planned Maintenance and Continuous improvement strategies by translating them into achievable and actionable plans.
Ensure that all inspection, verification and recording regimes are fully compliant and up to date by reviewing Maintenance system performance and Maximo reporting.
Ensure timely effective response to unplanned breakdowns and implement permanent solutions.
Develop and deliver initiatives and projects to ensure our maintenance costs are kept competitive.
Lead, motivate and develop the site maintenance team in line with the Company Values to maximise employee engagement
Essential
Proven team leader who can set objectives, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their potential
Qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline
Awareness and understanding of relevant engineering standards
Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement techniques
Knowledge and understanding of Electricity at work regulation and project management principles
Working knowledge of Maintenance Systems
Desirable
Significant experience with FMCG
