DUTIES:
Lead and reviewcompleted Subsystem testing of HVDC control and related hardware to make sureall hardware and software function is working as per design.
Management andorganization of strategic spare parts.
Manages updates of HVDC Operations andMaintenance Guides, Manuals Maintenance and Drawing update.
Provide technicalsupport for SVC projects.
Lead key performance indicator reporting andcommunications with the end customer.
Analyze HVDC system failure, systemdisturbance, trip and analysis of system and presents result to the customer.
Serve as the technical liaison with all internal and external vendors and/orsub suppliers.
Provide on-site technical engineering and troubleshooting of alloperational HVDC systems and auxiliary sub-systems (C&P software &hardware, high voltage equipment's, VCS communication) Preempts potentialproblems and provide solutions to application of concepts, techniques,knowledge or processes.
30% domestic/international travel required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degreein Electrical Engineering or a related field (or foreign degreeequivalent) and 8 years of experience.
Full termexperience must involve:
reading interpretating and understanding of electricaldrawings & diagrams; assessing and solving problems on HVDC system and itssub system; Thyristor technology used in HVDC systems; and valve coolingsystems; Word, Excel, MS project, TDC software; understanding of HVDC controlfunction and logic; and Simatic TDC training.
30% domestic/international travelrequired.
